Hawkers Market originated in Vancouver and finally earlier this year it found it’s way to YYC.
Never heard Hawkers Market, no worries that is why you are here 🙂 They describe on their FB page as being a ‘Monthly “Underground” food marketplace that allows food startups a place to connect with each other and their customers.’
I love this event because they live for local, and they have built this great community in order for people to connect, learn and most importantly EAT!
The last event ended at 9 which made it feel a bit rushed so I’m happy that this time they are going for the late night hours like the OG markets. This time they are starting at 6pm and running till 12am!
Bass Bus will be providing tunes all night and there will be a lot of eclectic food down there.
Tickets are only $10 which is a steal! You can also get a ticket + Mealshare for $13. This means that not only are you able to get in to the event but you are also giving a meal to someone through the Mealshare program 🙂
Everything goes down this Saturday at Test Kitchen (1436 8th St SW) which is an awesome space if you haven’t been down there yet. Add the food, the tunes and the people, there is no where else I’d want to be on Saturday night.
If for some crazy reason you can’t come down this time follow them on all social media platforms + their website to get all the info for upcoming events.
