It felt fitting to continue #kdclivelove with Gratitude. As March is my birthday month I already have a lot to be thankful for but for some, gratitude can be easily forgotten.

During Thanksgiving is the only time I really hear and see people comfortable talking about gratitude. Even before eating that great big dinner everyone takes a turn to talk about what they are thankful for. But what about the rest of the year? What about those days where you are frustrated to all hell?! Are you grateful for those moments too?

Are you trapped in the cloudiness of a bad day, a bad month, a bad YEAR!? It can be hard to find something to be grateful for when you are concentrating on all that rain.

Taking the time to reflect on gratitude is one of the biggest lessons I have learned. This exact lesson showed up as lesson number 4 from 2017. If you want to see the rest of those lessons you can read them here.

On those days that my anxiety has me in a stronghold, I try to focus on gratitude to keep me grounded.

You have to remember to only focus on what you can control. You have the power to change your perception, your behaviour, your reactions to the world. You can turn any moment into something new. Next time you feel frustrated, choose to be open to what the experience or the person is trying to show you. Make it a moment of learning and gratitude instead.

Being gratefull all the time isn’t easy. But it’s when you least feel thankful that you are most in need of what gratitude can give you: perspective. Gratitude can transform any situation. It alters your vibration, moving you from negative energy to positive. It’s the quickest, easiest more powerful way to effect change in your life – this I know for sure.


Tomorrow morning when you wake up, take a look outside and just breathe it in. Simply say thank you for the day and be open to what happens.

It was a year ago now that I relaunched the blog and it has opened up my heart and life to so many great people including you. So thank you, know that I am grateful for you.
